Calculator Introduction

If you are a new student from England, entering the first year of your course in 07/08 or 08/09, our calculator will provide you with an estimate of the financial support you could receive.

The calculator gives an estimate of the amount available for tuition fees, student loans, and the HE Grant. The calculator will not estimate grants or support for living costs, travel, or childcare.

The estimate is based on the information you give, so please be as accurate as you can.

All estimates are only an indication. Once you submit an application you will need to provide supporting evidence such as birth certificates and passports. The evidence provided and the full details of your personal circumstances may affect the amount you are entitled to receive.

Notes on eligibility:

• If you have received support for a higher education course in the past, the figures produced by this calculator may not be an accurate reflection of the support available to you.
• If you are entering the first year of your course in 08/09 and your course lasts less than one academic year, you will not be eligible to receive any support products.
• If you are studying on a Flexible ITT course that lasts less than one academic year, you will be eligible for tuition fees support only.
